Community Greening is planting 25 shade trees at our Tree Nursery in Boca Raton (22313 Boca Rio Rd) on Saturday, March 29th from approximately 9-11am, and we need YOUR help to get them in the ground! The Community Greening Tree Nursery has grown into an amazing space, housing thousands of native & fruit trees that are being grown for future tree plantings and giveaways throughout South Florida. On March 29th, we'll be planting about two dozen trees to add shade to the property, and showcase the various species we plant in the community. We welcome anyone who is interested in getting their hands a little dirty, and helping out a great cause! No horticulture experience necessary.Event is family friendly - all minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.We'll provide all of the necessary tools and supplies, including work gloves to borrow. Please wear closed-toed shoes, and clothing that can get a little dirty. We also encourage you to wear a hat and sunscreen. We'll have water on-site as well (though we free to bring your own reusable bottle). The Community Greening Nursery is located on the grounds of the HabCenter (22313 Boca Rio Road). Upon arrival you will proceed through the entry gates of the HabCenter to the back of the building and parking lot. After parking, walk towards the CG Nursery area, which is located in the NW corner (in the opposite direction of the main building)- there will be signage and staff to help guide you. Please drive slowly on the HabCenter grounds. INSTAGRAM | FACEBOOK | TWITTERTHANK YOU for volunteering with us, and helping keep our #CommunityGreening.
