The National Black Doulas Association (NBDA) is a community dedicated to supporting and uplifting Black families during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. 🍫 Chocolate Milk &amp; Cookies: A Black Breastfeeding Week Celebration Presented by the National Black Doulas Association (NBDA) &amp; Fathers Assisting Mothers (F.A.M.)🍼 This annual event is a cornerstone of Black Breastfeeding Week, dedicated to uplifting and supporting Black breastfeeding families through education, advocacy, and community empowerment. Recognizing the persistent disparities in Black maternal and infant health outcomes, Chocolate Milk &amp; Cookies creates a culturally affirming space that celebrates Black motherhood while addressing systemic barriers.Hosted in collaboration with community partners, this family-friendly celebration provides:<ul><li>Free baby supplies to support breastfeeding families</li><li>Raffles and giveaways promoting wellness and joy</li><li>A curated selection of local Black-owned vendors offering products and services</li><li>Access to lactation support and health resources tailored to Black families</li><li>Opportunities for genuine dialogue with Black doulas, birth workers, and maternal health advocates</li></ul>The event underscores the critical role of culturally competent care in improving maternal health outcomes.
