A Conversation on the Aftermath of Mass Incarceration

<h2>Boston Debate League and Suffolk University Present:</h2><h3>Race, Equity, and Policy: Exploring Criminal Justice Reform, a year-long series of dialogues and learning opportunities for students and the broader community</h3><p>Join the Boston Debate League (BDL) and Suffolk University in this community conversation exploring multiple facets of criminal justice reform – Policing, Sentencing, Prisons, Criminal Justice and Immigrant Communities, and Community Activism. Through a series of 5 virtual community forums and a virtual half-day conference we will bring keynote speakers and facilitate conversations with experts in the field of criminal justice. </p><p><strong>In this forum, we will explore the impacts of incarceration on individuals and families.</strong></p><p>Through this series, we hope to connect students and members of the broader Suffolk, BDL, and Boston communities to policy leaders, change makers, people impacted by and involved in the criminal justice system, and those who advocate for a diversity of policies and practices. Our goal is that all participants are engaged in critical discourse, informed by evidence, and empowered to take action based on the exploration of the U.S. criminal justice system as it is, and as it might be.</p><p>Contact Alexandra Papagno at apapagno@bostondebate.org for more information.</p>
