ARTroads Academy has a simple mission; helping artists to better see the world around them and then draw and paint what they see.   Offering classes, workshops, tours and trips, the ARTroads staff and its instructors are committed to delivering an educational experience in a supportive, non-judgmental and inspiring environment.We’ve been conducting events and classes since 1999 in the U.S., Italy and Mexico, recruiting instructors from here and there, plus England and New Zealand. All of our instructors are selected based not only their artistic talent but on their teaching skills and commitment to our students’ experience.

"Watercolor on the Water " at the Golden Gate Yacht Club; a three-session workshopJoin a small group, en plein air, (sheltered outdoors) at the private, Golden Gate Yacht Club. Select your subject from the almost limitless vistas and capture what makes the locale so amazing!Learn to select, simplify, and showcase your selected view in wondrous watercolor.A constructive critique and then an optional lunch at the private Club (with a separate charge) follows each instructional program.<ul><li>June 7th, 14th and 21st, 2025, One tuition, three Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.</li><li>Golden Gate Yacht Club, One Yacht Road, San Francisco, California</li></ul>Tuition (for the three Saturday classes)<ul><li>$270; GGYC member, PIYCA reciprocal club members and ARTroads alumni</li><li>$300; non-member students</li></ul>A suggested materials list will be sent to you with your registration confirmation. This is not a beginner's class. Familiarity with your own materials and watercolor techniques will contribute dramatically to your success.Sketching and painting will be done outdoors with just a bit of protection from the sun, fog, wind...all the typical San Francisco weather possibilities.Free, public parking is available near the Club.Lunch in the Club (at the student's expense), follows with some communal, constructive criticism. We learn a lot!
