<h2>READ THIS BEFORE REGISTERING:</h2><p>The <strong>email you enter on this registration form will be exclusively linked to the online course you are requesting. </strong></p><p>Meaning,  <strong>the email you enter here will be the email/username you will have to use on the AHA website.</strong></p><p>Please be consistent if you already have an AHA eLearning account, otherwise, be prepared to create a new account using the email you use to register today.</p><h2></h2><h2>This  HeartCode BLS online course consists of two parts:</h2><h3><strong>Part 1: </strong></h3><h3>Online course includes didactic instruction and testing. The online portion of the course should take between 60 minutes and 90 minutes to complete.</h3><h3><strong>Part 2:</strong> </h3><h3>is the live skills verification that will take place on the date listed on this page. Skills verification should take 60 minutes.</h3><h2>About the Online course:</h2><p><strong>Blended Learning (online portion, followed by hands-on skills session) HeartCode BLS </strong>uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills.</p><p>Instructor-led, hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency</p><p><strong>See the HeartCode BLS video below for what to expect from this online learning experience.</strong></p><p><strong>Course Completion</strong></p><p>Complete the online portion + hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor, or with a voice-assisted manikin (VAM) or Simulation Station</p><p>The online portion of HeartCode BLS can be completed in approximately 1 to 2 hours.</p><p>Time to complete the hands-on skills session is 60 minutes.</p><h2>How to Access the Online Course:</h2><p>Within 5 business days of completing this registration form, you will receive an email from <strong>eLearning.heart.org </strong>with the <strong>Subject line: AHA Course Assignment on eLearning.heart.org, </strong>explaining how to access the course through the American Heart Association's website. </p><p>If you have not received your access within 5 business days, please contact Antonio Naguiat at 415-206-4529.</p><aside>For Online Course technical support please contact the AHA at 1-888-242-8883 between the hours of 9-5 p.m. EST (GMT-5) M-F.</aside><h2>Preparing for the hands-on skills session:</h2><p>Once you finish the online portion of the course<strong>, print out the certificate of completion </strong>and attend the skills session you are registering for.  Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your appointment time and be prepared to fully participate in the team hands-on skills session for 60 minutes. </p><h2>REFUND POLICY:</h2><h3>Please visit the elearning.heart.org website to familiarize yourself with the online course before accessing your online course. </h3><h3><strong>There will be NO Refunds for activated courses, regardless of the reason for not being able to complete the course.  </strong></h3><h3>Rescheduling your hands-on skills testing IS allowed.</h3><h3>If you need to cancel or reschedule please email <strong>ANTONIO.NAGUIAT@SFDPH.ORG</strong> for help.</h3><h3>Refunds will be given for courses canceled by DET.<strong>  We cannot refund any processing fees.  </strong></h3><p></p><p></p><p></p>
