Eventually, Esther bravely revealed her status as a Jewish person to convince the king to stop his antisemitic advisor, Haman, from annihilating the Jewish people of Persia. Esther had a lot to lose if revealing her identity had backfired and angered her husband. King Ahasuerus had <a href="https://www.chabad.org/holidays/purim/article_cdo/aid/1347/jewish/The-Death-Verdict.htm" title="https://www.chabad.org/holidays/purim/article_cdo/aid/1347/jewish/The-Death-Verdict.htm" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">executed his prior wife</a> so she had good reson to be nervous.Queen Esther was a brave, creative leader who was willing to do anything for her people's safety. She was innovative in her approach, and she won. There are several lessons to be learned here for those of us in the modern era trying to find ways to be of service.
