The goal of the listening sessions is to hear about older adults experiences in locating &amp; accessing services in the community

In preparing for a new Area Plan, AgeGuide will be hosting stakeholder listening sessions, distributing a needs assessment survey, and researching best practices in service design to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our region which holds 25% of the state’s 60+ population while addressing diversity, equity and inclusion in the process. We would like to evaluate our service delivery design to make sure we are targeting our programs to those in greatest social and economic need. It is a priority for AgeGuide to solicit feedback on the Older Americans Act services from older adults and especially those underserved populations including racial, ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ community, and people with limited English proficiency. These public meetings will offer people from diverse backgrounds a chance to express their views about key issues of concern around aging services and provide input. Our listening sessions are open to all older adults, community and funded partners, aging network providers, and local, elected officials in the communities we serve. The goal of these listening sessions is to hear what people have to say about their experiences in locating and accessing services in the community
