Dance Workshop with Calpulli Mexican Dance Company

Join us for a special edition of Sabado Familiar celebrating Día de Muertos  with the Calpulli Mexican Dance Company. Calpulli’s Artistic Director, Alberto Lopez will guide us through a family friendly workshop where you will be introduced to the music and dance traditions associated with this celebration and enjoy dance performances from different regions of Mexico. Lopez will also lead us in a dance sequence. Don’t forget your dancing shoes and bring the whole family for a fun filled educational workshop! FREE ADMISSION. The fresh, vital repertoire honors Mexico’s past and Mexican-American cultural expression in the United States. Calpulli Mexican Dance Company also does business as Calpulli Danza Mexicana.This program is a part of El Museo en Tu Casa, our new bilingual digital initiative encouraging visitors to explore and learn about Latino art and culture.
