An experimental project emphasizing collaboration and concision, #the1hourproject gives Chicago choreographers and video artists 60 minutes to shoot the footage for a 60 second dance film in a unique Chicago location.Although the One Hour Project has always been online, this year feels different, to say the least. Amidst a pandemic, the Chicago dance community feels disjointed, hit especially hard by social isolation. The need for a collaborative, creative pursuit that flexes our creative muscles feels important. Enter The One Hour Project: through this project we aim to accomplish three goals: make dance more accessible in a digital era, foster collaboration across artistic disciplines, and provide a platform for emerging and established choreographers and video artists in the Chicago community. What can 3 artists accomplish in 1 hour?2020 Participants:Choreographers: Jacob Joseph Buerger, Anna Rodimtseva, Kinnari Vora, Jamie Greco, Marceia L.
