The Drawing Center, a museum in Manhattan's SoHo district, explores the medium of drawing as primary, dynamic, and relevant to contemporary culture, the future of art, and creative thought. Its activities, which are both multidisciplinary and broadly historical, include exhibitions; Open Sessions, a curated artist program encouraging community and collaboration; the Drawing Papers publication series; and education and public programs. Join teaching artist Ada Pilar Cruz for an online drawing workshop

People of all ages are invited to join our participatory drawing workshop for the exhibition <a href="https://drawingcenter.org/exhibitions/100-drawings-from-now" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">100 Drawings From Now</a>. Led by museum educator, Ada Pilar Cruz, we explore a selection of artists whose work uses compelling word-based imagery that spotlights the urgency, intimacy and universality of drawing during this period of profound global unrest.All ages are invited to participate! Workshops will take place via Zoom. Participants will be sent a login link on the day before the workshop. Simply click the link to join.Tips for a Successful Zoom Session: <ul><li>Log in 5-10 minutes before the workshop begins to avoid any technical delays.</li><li>Use a desktop or laptop for the best image quality. Featuring drawings made by an international group of artists since early 2020, 100 Drawings from Now provides a snapshot of artistic production during a period of profound global unrest that has resulted from the ongoing health and economic crises, as well as a surge of activism in response to systemic racism, social injustice, and police brutality in the United States.
