Η Ιταλική Πρεσβεία στην Ελλάδα και το Ιταλικό Μορφωτικό Ινστιτούτο Αθηνών, σε συνεργασία με το Milano Design FIlm Festival παρουσιάζει ένα αφιέρωμα στις κορυφαίες στιγμές του Ιταλικού ντιζάιν με τέσσερα ντοκιμαντέρ στο πλαίσιο του Φθινόπωρο all&#x27;italiana Online [ διαδικτυακό αφιέρωμα στον πολιτισμό Made in Italy ]
Όταν σκεφτόμαστε το Ιταλικό ντιζάιν ο νους εστιάζει αμέσως αντικείμενα, έπιπλα, φώτα, αξεσουάρ με αδρές γραμμές, πρωτότυπα και υπέρκομψα. 
Το ντιζάιν όμως είναι πολλά περισσότερα. Είναι η συνήθεια να δίνουμε μορφή στην επίλυση των προβλημάτων, είναι η ασταμάτητη αναζήτηση νέων υλικών, είναι η αξιοποίηση της πιο προηγμένης τεχνολογίας στην υπηρεσία του ανθρώπου, είναι ο πειραματισμός που οδηγεί τον καθένα από μας σε μια καλύτερη ποιότητα ζωής. Είναι γραμμή και σχέδιο, χειρονομίες και ποίηση, αρμονία και εκκεντρικότητα. Στο πλαίσιο του αφιερώματος στα διαφορετικά πεδία της Ιταλικής δημιουργίας, το Milano Design Film Festival παρουσιάζει μια επιλογή από ντοκιμαντέρ με αντικείμενο το βιομηχανικό σχέδιο «Made in Italy». 
Και οι τέσσερις ταινίες του αφιερώματος(Driving Dreams, Gianluca Migliarotti. Daniel Tomicic, Italy 2016, 52’| La Cupola, Volker Sattel, Germany 2016, 40’| Maddalena, Valeria Parisi, Italy 2017, 28’36”|Tobia Scarpa. L’anima segreta delle cose, Elia Romanelli, Italy 2015, 30’)αφηγούνται ιστορίες από τη ζωή πραγματικών Δασκάλων του βιομηχανικού σχεδίου.

The Embassy of Italy in Greece and the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens, in collaboration with Milano Design Film Festival, present a tribute to the greatest-moments of Italian design, with four documentaries, as part of Autumn all&#x27;italiana Online [online tribute to the culture of “Made in Italy”].
When we think of Italian design, the mind immediately travels to objects, furniture, lights, accessories with broad contours—original and dashingly elegant. Design, however, is much more than that. It is a habit to give form, to the solution of problems; it is a ceaseless search for new materials; the utilisation of the most advanced technology, in the service of man—an experimentation which leads each of us, to a better quality of life. It is contour and design, gestures and poetry, harmony and eccentricity. As part of the tribute focusing on the different fields of Italian creation, Milano Design Film Festival, will present a selection of documentaries on the industrial design, of “Made in Italy”.
All four films of the tribute (Driving Dreams, Gianluca Migliarotti. Daniel Tomicic, Italy 2016, 52’| La Cupola, Volker Sattel, Germany 2016, 40’| Maddalena, Valeria Parisi, Italy 2017, 28’36”|Tobia Scarpa. Η Μανταλένα ντε Πάντοβα, η πρώτη κυρία του Ιταλικού design, έφυγε από τη ζωή τον Δεκέμβριο του 2016. Από τα τέλη της δεκαετίας του ’50 εισήγαγε και έκανε γνωστό το Σκανδιναβικό design καθώς και τους Αμερικανούς δασκάλους Charles και Ray Eames, Alexandre Girard, George Nelson. Τις βιτρίνες του καταστήματός της στη Λεωφόρο Βενέτσια, στο Μιλάνο, με την επιμέλεια του Ακίλε Καστιλιόνι, τις θεωρούσαν από τις ομορφότερες στον κόσμο. Από τις ιστορικά σημαντικότερες εκθέσεις της είναι εκείνη αφιερωμένη στους Shaker, Αμερικάνικη αίρεση του 18ου αιώνα, με τα έπιπλά τους που παρουσίασε σε καινούρια μορφή. Χάρη σε αυτήν η διακόσμηση απέκτησε απλότητα και λιτότητα και στην Ιταλία. Το ντοκιμαντέρ παρουσιάζει τους σημαντικότερους σταθμούς μιας ζωής αφιερωμένης στο καλό γούστο καθώς και τις επιχειρηματικές ικανότητες μιας γυναίκας που πέτυχε την καταξίωση στον τότε ανδροκρατούμενο κόσμο της διακόσμησης. Στη συνέντευξη που κυκλοφόρησε το 2005 από τις 3D Produzioni η ίδια Μανταλένα ντε Πάντοβα αφηγείται την ιστορία της με φόντο το κατάστημά της στη Λεωφόρο Βενέτσια αλλά και το σπίτι της. Μαζί της είναι οι άνθρωποι που τη γνώρισαν, και μοιράστηκαν τη ζωή τους και τη δουλειά τους μαζί της: Πατρίσια Ουρκουγιόλα, Πιέρο Λισόνι, Πιερλουίτζι Τσέρι, Μπίργκιτ Λόμαν, Βάνι Πάσκα, Έλεονορ Πεντούτσι Ρίβα, Ναταλία Άσπεζι, Λίνα Σότις, Κλάουντιο Λούτι, Ίταλο Λούπι, Λούκα ντε Πάντοβα. Ολοκληρώνει τη συνέντευξη μια σύντομη μαρτυρία του συντρόφου της Μανταλένα στη ζωή και στη δουλειά Βίκο Ματζιστρέτι.

Maddalena de Padova, who died in December 2016, was the first lady of Italian design. She began importing and spreading the word about Scandinavian design in the late 1950s, and introduced Italy to the American masters, Charles and Ray Eames, Alexandre Girard and George Nelson. The windows of her shop in Corso Venezia, often dressed by Achille Castiglioni, were regarded as the most beautiful in the world. Her exhibition on the Shakers, an 18th century American sect,whose very functional furniture she revisited, was groundbreaking. She saw simplicity and minimalism as household values, even in Italy. The documentary narrates the significant milestones in the life of an ad litteram taste maker and businesswoman whose strength of character enabled her to make her mark is a world that was still largely male. Maddalena de Padova told her own story in an interview recorded by 3D Produzioni in 2005 over several days and in various different locations, in the shop in Corso Venezia and at her own home. The film also features the voices of people who knew her and shared life and work experiences with her: Patricia Urquiola, Piero Lissoni, Pierluigi Cerri, Birgit Lohmann, Vanni Pasca, Eleonore Peduzzi Riva, Natalia Aspesi, Lina Sotis, Claudio Luti, Italo Lupi and Luca de Padova. There is also a valuable short contribution from Vico Magistretti, her companion in life and work.

• αναπτύσσει διδακτική δραστηριότητα διοργανώνοντας επιμορφωτικά σεμινάρια, εξετάσεις για την πιστοποίηση της γνώσης της ιταλικής γλώσσας, τμήματα ιταλικής γλώσσας και κουλτούρας για ενήλικες και νέους, καθώς και εξειδικευμένα τμήματα.

The Italian Cultural Institute of Athens is the Cultural Office of the Italian Embassy in Greece. Its aim is to promote and develop cultural relations between Greece and Italy.
According to the Education Agreement between Italy and Greece, the Institute:
• promotes contacts between Greek Institutions, Organizations and Greek services with their respective Italian
• curates and organizes cultural events (exhibitions, concerts, performances, conferences) in collaboration with Greek and Italian public and private actors
• provides information on scholarships and studies in Italy
• develops teaching activities by organizing training seminars, exams for certification of Italian language proficiency, Italian language and culture courses for adults and young people, as well as specialized courses.
