Η Ιταλική Πρεσβεία στην Ελλάδα και το Ιταλικό Μορφωτικό Ινστιτούτο Αθηνών, σε συνεργασία με το Milano Design FIlm Festival παρουσιάζει ένα αφιέρωμα στις κορυφαίες στιγμές του Ιταλικού ντιζάιν με τέσσερα ντοκιμαντέρ στο πλαίσιο του Φθινόπωρο all&#x27;italiana Online [ διαδικτυακό αφιέρωμα στον πολιτισμό Made in Italy ]
Όταν σκεφτόμαστε το Ιταλικό ντιζάιν ο νους εστιάζει αμέσως αντικείμενα, έπιπλα, φώτα, αξεσουάρ με αδρές γραμμές, πρωτότυπα και υπέρκομψα. 
Το ντιζάιν όμως είναι πολλά περισσότερα. Είναι η συνήθεια να δίνουμε μορφή στην επίλυση των προβλημάτων, είναι η ασταμάτητη αναζήτηση νέων υλικών, είναι η αξιοποίηση της πιο προηγμένης τεχνολογίας στην υπηρεσία του ανθρώπου, είναι ο πειραματισμός που οδηγεί τον καθένα από μας σε μια καλύτερη ποιότητα ζωής. Είναι γραμμή και σχέδιο, χειρονομίες και ποίηση, αρμονία και εκκεντρικότητα. Στο πλαίσιο του αφιερώματος στα διαφορετικά πεδία της Ιταλικής δημιουργίας, το Milano Design Film Festival παρουσιάζει μια επιλογή από ντοκιμαντέρ με αντικείμενο το βιομηχανικό σχέδιο «Made in Italy». 
Και οι τέσσερις ταινίες του αφιερώματος (Driving Dreams, Gianluca Migliarotti. Daniel Tomicic, Italy 2016, 52’| La Cupola, Volker Sattel, Germany 2016, 40’| Maddalena, Valeria Parisi, Italy 2017, 28’36”|Tobia Scarpa. L’anima segreta delle cose, Elia Romanelli, Italy 2015, 30’) αφηγούνται ιστορίες από τη ζωή πραγματικών Δασκάλων του βιομηχανικού σχεδίου.

The Embassy of Italy in Greece and the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens, in collaboration with Milano Design Film Festival, present a tribute to the greatest-moments of Italian design, with four documentaries, as part of Autumn all&#x27;italiana Online [online tribute to the culture of “Made in Italy”].
When we think of Italian design, the mind immediately travels to objects, furniture, lights, accessories with broad contours—original and dashingly elegant. Design, however, is much more than that. It is a habit to give form, to the solution of problems; it is a ceaseless search for new materials; the utilisation of the most advanced technology, in the service of man—an experimentation which leads each of us, to a better quality of life. It is contour and design, gestures and poetry, harmony and eccentricity. As part of the tribute focusing on the different fields of Italian creation, Milano Design Film Festival, will present a selection of documentaries on the industrial design, of “Made in Italy”.
All four films of the tribute (Driving Dreams, Gianluca Migliarotti. Daniel Tomicic, Italy 2016, 52’| La Cupola, Volker Sattel, Germany 2016, 40’| Maddalena, Valeria Parisi, Italy 2017, 28’36”|Tobia Scarpa. Πρόκειται για την φουτουριστική εξοχική κατοικία που σχεδιάστηκε το 1969 στη Σαρδηνία από τον αρχιτέκτονα Ντάντε Μπίνι για λογαριασμό του σκηνοθέτη Μικελάντζελο Αντονιόνι και της τότε Μούσας του Μόνικα Βίτι. Το κτήριο τώρα είναι ερειπωμένο και εγκαταλειμμένο στην αδυσώπητη φθορά του χρόνου. Το βλέμμα του Γερμανού σκηνοθέτη Φόλκερ Σάτελ εξερευνά κάθε αρχιτεκτονική λεπτομέρεια του κτιρίου, που βρίσκεται στην άγρια φύση της δυτικής όχθης της Γκαλούρα, και μέσα από την αφηγηματική φωνή και τις αναμνήσεις της Τζουσεπίνα Ιζέτα, που έζησε όλες τις φάσεις της κατασκευής του τολμηρού αυτού κτίσματος, ανατρέχει στην ιστορία του. La Cupola («Ο Θόλος») κατασκευάστηκε με την καινοτόμο τεχνική Binishell, που ακόμη χρησιμοποιείται σήμερα και ονομάστηκε από τον ίδιο τον αρχιτέκτονα Μπίνι. Αποτελείται από μια στρώση ενισχυμένου τσιμέντου που διογκώνεται και σηκώνεται εσωτερικά μέσω συμπιεσμένου αέρα.

A futuristic house in Sardinia designed by the architect Dante Bini for film director Michelangelo Antonioni and the actress Monica Vitti, then a couple, in 1969. It was built as a holiday home, but it is now facing inexorable decline. The German director Volker Sattel explores every architectural detail of the building, immersed in the wild scenery of the western coast of Gallura. The film traces the history of the visionary habitation through the narrative voice and memories of Giuseppina Isetta, who watched it being built. La Cupola owes its existence to the innovative Binishell technique, still in use today, which was invented and named by Bini himself. It consists of a single sheet of reinforced concrete, inflated and raised internally by means of compressed air.

• προωθεί τις επαφές των ελληνικών Ιδρυμάτων, Οργανισμών και ελληνικών υπηρεσιών με τις αντίστοιχες ιταλικές
• επιμελείται και διοργανώνει πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις (εκθέσεις, συναυλίες, παραστάσεις, συνέδρια) σε συνεργασία με ελληνικούς και ιταλικούς, δημόσιους και ιδιωτικούς, φορείς
• παρέχει πληροφορίες για υποτροφίες και σπουδές στην Ιταλία
• αναπτύσσει διδακτική δραστηριότητα διοργανώνοντας επιμορφωτικά σεμινάρια, εξετάσεις για την πιστοποίηση της γνώσης της ιταλικής γλώσσας, τμήματα ιταλικής γλώσσας και κουλτούρας για ενήλικες και νέους, καθώς και εξειδικευμένα τμήματα.

The Italian Cultural Institute of Athens is the Cultural Office of the Italian Embassy in Greece. Its aim is to promote and develop cultural relations between Greece and Italy.
According to the Education Agreement between Italy and Greece, the Institute:
• promotes contacts between Greek Institutions, Organizations and Greek services with their respective Italian
• curates and organizes cultural events (exhibitions, concerts, performances, conferences) in collaboration with Greek and Italian public and private actors
• provides information on scholarships and studies in Italy
• develops teaching activities by organizing training seminars, exams for certification of Italian language proficiency, Italian language and culture courses for adults and young people, as well as specialized courses.
