The Mission Kiss Project is a public art project about love, unity and diversity. What better way to demonstrate than with a Kiss?!


<a href="https://www.instagram.com/themissionkiss/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> The Mission Kiss</a> began as the small personal project of ArtSpan Artist Nathalie Fabri. In 2019 she began painting various images of couples kissing on wooden hearts and hanging them randomly from trees, fences and street signs around the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco. Photos and posts began appearing of the hearts on social media. Neighbors thanked her for sharing something with such a positive message and other artists inquired how they could get involved. In a short time, it has grown into a public art project as a collaboration with many different creative makers. <h3>This February ArtSpan invites YOU to take part in the Mission Kiss Project by creating your own heart. This online Artist Mixer is proudly sponsored by ArtSpan’s community partnership with Blick Art Materials. </h3><h3>30 participants that register by 12pm on February 3rd will be sent in the mail a Liquitex Basic Acrylic Set, 1 paint brush and a 10” x 10” laser cut wood shaped heart with a hole for hanging. </h3> The hearts will come with a pre-drawn profile of a couple kissing. You can use this as a guide, or erase it and create your own design.Nathalie will offer participants painting ideas and techniques. <h3>Afterwards you can hold onto your heart, hang it in your own neighborhood, or learn from Nathalie how you can include your heart as part of The Mission Kiss project in San Francisco during the month of February. </h3>The hearts are about diversity and love and inclusion, but they are also about letting go. It is a community experiment and an attempt to bring people together around love. About the Artist: In addition to being the founder of The Mission Kiss project, <a href="http://www.fabrikations.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Nathalie Fabri </a>is a San Francisco artist that specializes in Urban Landscapes. Using a variety of bright contrasting colors, she makes city streets come alive under her paintbrush. Nathalie is fascinated by urban streets and their individual homes. Everyday scenes of a typical San Francisco street become a colorful, warm place where one would want to stroll and explore. She especially likes to paint the homes at dusk, when lights are just turning on.
