Thank you for making our outdoor experiences one of the most popular outings in the DMV!All of our bird walks and trips are FREE and open to the public, except where noted to cover associated programming costs. Your generous support plays a crucial role in sustaining our programming, which includes our world-class guides. If you have binoculars, please bring them along, and we do have a limited number of spare binoculars available for use. Space can be limited, so registration is mandatory to ensure that everyone has a joyous experience in nature. See you outside!

** Part I is not a pre-requisite for Part II **We'll have demonstrations of how eBird and iNaturalist data may be downloaded and transformed into graphical visualizations. You will participate in white-boarding a “concept map” starting from root concepts we'll review in the workshop. Be prepared to participate actively, because the evolved map captures the collective thoughts of your fellow attendees. Dr. Brian Wee, formerly a science, technology, data, and policy liaison to the US Government (retired). Brian holds a Ph.D. in ecology, a M.Sc. in computer science (focused on AI), and a B.Sc. In computer science. A member of DC Bird Alliance, Brian is a talented photography whose work is on exhibit at Bluebird Sky Yoga.
