YogiPosa brings Son Monarcas w/ live Latin Folk Fusion beats followed by E'a the Wholistic Artist and AfroSoul w/ live West African drums

Ping Tom Memorial Park

Please join us on Saturday, October 17th at Ping Tom Memorial Park at 12-noon for a very special live music yoga flow in cross-cultural celebration.In "Yogiposa", a play on the words yoga and mariposa (butterfly), Son Monarcas' multi-instrumentalists Irekani Ferreyra and Mercedes Inez create a magical soundscape of ambient beats, healing frequencies and rich harmonies. Combining compositions for voice, guitar, violin, requinto jarocho, kalimba, looping, and drums, Son Monarcas' music ranges from ambient tribal meditation to downtempo world-infused grooves.YogiPosa and their Latin Folk Fusion will be infused with some African beats midway through as E'a and AfroSoul flow in to take you on a journey back to the roots.In AfroSoul Yoga you will "Dance Your Way To Namaste" releasing to the primal rhythms of African Drums from across the diaspora and restoring your soul with the meditative movements of West African Dance to refresh your mind/ body connection.This is a very special event and we invite you to come hold space and celebrate with us.We have social distance protocols in place and additional PPE is available. Please wear a mask and be mindful of others.Come and stay for our full day of celebration and events at Ping Tom Memorial Park, under 18th street bridge. Please note that entrance to the park will be at 298 W. 19th Street. You cannot enter the park via 18th street.
