Tango is for everyone!  Come dance with us.  Ticket includes four Wednesdays in March.  Queer-friendly class, no partner necessary.

Tango instructors Diego Lanau and Alejandra Saravia are back in the Bay Area! Join us for a fun, friendly dance class geared towards total beginners and anyone who is working on their fundamentals. Diego and Alejandra teach simple, elegant movements for social dancing.These classes are taught using the terms "leaders" and "followers," and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people.This ticket includes four Wednesdays: March 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th.6:45-7:00 pm check-in 7:00-8:00 pm beginner series 8:00-8:30 pm practicaThe beginner series is geared towards total beginners and people who have been dancing tango for less than six months. (We recommend taking multiple beginner series before moving on to an intermediate series.) The practicas are included with the classes. Stay, dance, and ask questions! Drinks are for sale at Morgan’s Bar and Lounge, across the hall from the ballroom. All ages are welcome in the dance classes.On Wednesday, March 5th, the class will be held in the drawing room (first floor). All other classes will be held in the ballroom (second floor).We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. For bike parking, use the bell to enter through the service entrance, and go straight to get to the back courtyard. No parking in the City Club lot. Street parking is free after 6:00 pm. Extra parking is available for $2 per hour at the Ellsworth Structure at 2337 Haste St. Even closer to the Club, First Church Berkeley offers parking at a flat fee of $10, paid using a qr code. Enter the parking lot from Durant; it will be to your right directly after passing the entrance to the Berkeley City Club.Event organized by Lindsey Newbold.
