Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands, a proud member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay family, is the only one-to-one youth mentoring organization serving over 376 youth on Cape Cod and the Islands. Our program is proven to produce several positive long-term and short-term youth development outcomes. Research shows that a match of just one year helps kids stay in school, avoid violent and risky behavior, and gain confidence. Timber Axe Bar & Bowl

This March, help us Erase the Wait for kids seeking a mentor in Falmouth (and beyond)! Join Falmouth Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod &amp; the Islands (BBBS) as we team up to raise awareness about the need for volunteer mentors for Falmouth youth.The FREE joint event, Mentoring in Falmouth, will take place on Thursday, March 6th from 5-7pm at Timber in downtown Falmouth and will feature light appetizers (provided) and a cash bar. Current mentors, alumni mentors and staff from both VIPS &amp; BBBS, will be on hand to answer questions and talk about opportunities to mentor youth in a school setting or in the community. Information will be provided and a brief 10 minute speaking program highlighting mentors from both agencies will round up the night.We encourage everyone connected to Falmouth, who has considered becoming involved in their community, to attend this event. You are never too young (21+ for this event) or too old to be a mentor. Kindly RSVP to this Eventbrite for an accurate count for food and beverage.** Eventbrite is being used for registration purposes ONLY. Your information will not be uploaded to either agency's database unless you chose to start the process of becoming a volunteer!**
