How much does the workshop cost?

This workshop is free of charge thanks to the generosity of our sponsors at Atlanta Sacred Harp and the Georgia Center for Nonprofits.

Do I need musical experience to sing Sacred Harp?

Accepted Answer

No prior musical experience or skill set is needed. Just bring your voice! You’ll learn the basics of melody and harmony singing, and get practice reading music using traditional shape note symbols.

Where is the venue?

Accepted Answer

Our singing school venue is in Reynoldstown, Atlanta, adjacent to the Atlanta Dairies complex and the Madison Yards shopping center.  The entrance is at the rear of the A&P Lofts, on Chester Ave, 100 yards south of Memorial Drive.

Where should I park?

Accepted Answer

There are a limited number of on-site spaces behind the building, to be reserved for those with mobility needs.  There is free on-street parking along Old Flat Shoals Rd and Chester Ave, and in Madison Yards.  There are paid parking decks at the nearby Atlanta Dairies complex.
