Community hikes are a time to get together with old friends and make new ones. It’s a time to unplug from our devices, breathe in the fresh air and connect with the world around us. Join us for these free, organized monthly hikes around San Diego.

Saturday, August 16 | 8:30 AM Beach Walk, Cardiff State Beach Nature Unplugged Club Hike—San Diego (August) | Nature Unplugged Club hikes and events are a time to get together with old friends and make new ones. It’s a time to unplug from our devices, breathe in the fresh air and connect with the world around us. We’re committed to creating a community that values time outside, together—and that’s why we host these free, organized monthly hikes and events around San Diego. While these hikes are offered at no cost, we do require registration. Your registration lets us know you're coming so that we can look for you at the trailhead. In advance of the hike, we'll also send you an email with helpful information including things like directions, parking tips, the weather outlook and what to bring. <h3>Cardiff State Beach Walk</h3>Join us on this approx. 3 mile out and back beach walk and enjoy the beauty of Cardiff State Beach and Solana Beach. This is a coastal route along the rugged waterline, featuring rocky beach terrain and expansive ocean views. The beach offers ideal conditions for surf-watching, including native coastal plants and occasional wildlife sightings. WHEN8:30am - 11:00am on Saturday, 8/16<ul><li>Hike will begin at 8:30am. We will be meeting in the South lot (also called Seaside Beach) which is much larger parking lot. The link should take you there but just a heads up in case you end up at the northern lot.</li></ul> ITEMS TO BRING<ul><li>Sandals or comfortable shoes to walk in (option to go barefoot)</li><li>Weather appropriate clothing</li><li>Sun protection (Hat, Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Lip balm with SPF)</li><li>Water</li><li>Backpack (optional)</li><li>Bathing suit / Towel (optional ocean dip after)</li><li>Binoculars for wildlife/birding (optional)</li></ul> ABOUT NATURE UNPLUGGED Nature Unplugged is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides education and training to inspire wellness in the digital age.
