Get ready for more laughs and lunacy as Screwball Sundays are back with another season of fast-talking antics, outrageous plot twists, and unforgettable characters from the golden age of Hollywood! This year’s lineup brings you rare screenings of classic screwball comedies that continue to delight and surprise, proving that comedy truly never goes out of style.Each film screens on the BIG SCREEN in our Historic Camelot Theatre at the Palm Springs Cultural Center and includes live introductions and Film Q + A sessions with the Film Society of Screwball Comedy, plus special guest appearances from renowned authors, film scholars, film historians, and dvd commentators including Molly Haskell, Scott Eyman, Steven C. Smith, Mark Vieira, David Kalat, and Dr. Olympia Kiriakou.

JUNE 15 | 3 PM | DESIRE (1936)Directed by Frank Borzage, Desire stars Marlene Dietrich as a glamorous jewel thief and Gary Cooper as her unsuspecting mark. This sophisticated screwball comedy blends romance, intrigue, and humor, all wrapped up in Dietrich’s iconic charm. With its European flair and playful plot twists, Desire stands out as a unique entry in the screwball genre.
