Lost City is a mission-driven, community oasis with locations at the River North Taxi campus and Capitol Hill. The name Lost City is meant to capture both a global and local perspective on progress. Lost City is dedicated to creating a better Colorado by supporting the needs of marginalized communities and providing a safe space for opportunities and cultural exchange. Lost City is proud to be a founding member of the Denver Metro Emergency Food Network (www.denverdelivered.com), a joint effort started in March 2020 to respond to food insecurity during the COVID-19 crisis. The Taxi location offers specialty coffee, delicious house-made food, catering, and a full bar. Lost City is excited to present Lost City Live: An Independent Music Recovery Showcase. On Saturday, October 17, enjoy music from iZCALLi with an opening set from Verena. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to local artists and the music professionals who help bring the show to life. The concert will take place on Lost City’s outdoor patio at its RiNo location (3459 Ringsby Ct.) and will follow all state social distancing guidelines. Event capacity will be capped at 44 guests per show and tables and seating areas will be placed to allow for appropriate distancing between groups. Lost City will also take additional cleaning and sanitizing measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.Ticketing options take social distancing into consideration by encouraging small friend circles, couples and family members to attend together. Tables will be spaced a minimum of six feet apart and ticket options/pricing are as follows:VIP Tables (2 available per show) - $200 per table for the best seats in the house; includes seating for up to 6 guests and a bottle of wine2-4 Person Seating (5 available per show) - $100 per table/bench2 Person Seating (4 available per show) - $50 per table/benchSingle Seats (6 available per show) - $25 each (includes seating on a bench, chair or stool; does not guarantee space at a table)The patio will open one hour prior for an attendee-only happy hour. Lost City will provide food and drink options to enjoy during the shows including cocktails, wine, beer, and charcuterie boards. Food and drinks will be served from a walk-up window to minimize contact throughout the venue.Parking is free - please park in the overflow lot on the southwest side of the Taxi complex and avoid parking in any spots marked for residents.About iZCALLi:iZCALLi makes the kind of music you leave home to: melancholy folk phrases lashed to driving beats that pin the pedal to the floor — that Molotov of nostalgia and exhilaration, the immigrant song. It’s a feeling iZCALLi — named for the Mexican birthplace of member-siblings Miguel (lead guitar/vocals) and Brenda Avina (bass) and the Nahuatl word for rebirth — knows well. Born on both sides of the border (drummer Luiggy Ramirez hails from Colorado) and formed in the Denver 15 years ago, iZCALLi has over the course of five LPs and thousands of shows, swigged its evolving sound from both wells of tradition, from Latin-tinged echoes to punching rock to filthy blues, in English and in Español. The result is iZCALLi: the music of the melting pot, which is deeply American and knows no frontiers, making waves and building bridges along the way through exhilarating live shows that celebrate tradition and kin, creating music that unites what you find with what you left behind, and opens the heart, so you know you are home.About Verena: VERENA is a 21 year old Mexican singer/songwriter, born in Mexico City. The genre of her musical project is mainly Pop/R&amp;B. In 2019 she released her fist two singles “It’s My Pride” and “Let You”, and in October, the same year she was the opening act for a Mexican band called Vera at the Lunario del Auditorio Nacional, one of the most important concert venues in Mexico City. She was afterwards accepted in Berklee College of Music, as well as CU Denver’s Music School, where she attends today (some of this school’s outstanding alumni are the members of the band The Fray, Illenium, among other recognized members of the Music Industry in the United States of America). In 2020 she was interviewed by the Forbes LATAM Magazine for Radar Musical (“Musical Radar”), for and article that highlights emerging independent artists.
