We are sisters Susannah and Lillian Calhoun, and along with our mother Diane Bigbee Calhoun, we grow cut flowers in southern Dona Ana County.Thanks to our extended growing season and diverse plantings, we grow a variety of incredibly beautiful, seasonal flowers and foliage that can be picked at the farm (see our many "u-picks") and found in local grocery stores/cafes and florists' shops.

Photo Sessions

This is the spot for the best photo backdrops! We have two locations to serve your needs. A boutique farm in collaboration with Esslinger Farms and our original space.Photographers NOT included: must bring your own or use personal camera.

We are thrilled to open reservations for photos in the Irises while they are blooming. Reservations are available in 30-minute windows of time between 6AM-8AM and 6PM-8PM. Sunrise photo sessions are $25; sunset photo sessions are $35. Choose the date and timeslot that aligns best with your schedule and desired lighting. This reservation is for private access to the Iris patch. Photographer NOT included.Please note there are morning and evening sessions, please make sure to mark your calendars accordingly.Some sessions may be scheduled back-to-back. We ask that you arrive promptly and finish within your time slot in order to be respectful of the party that may be taking pictures before and/or after you. Sessions that run passed their time slot may incur an additional fee.Our New Mexico weather can be fickle, rescheduling is available in circumstances of inclement weather.Please see Calhoun Flower Farms Photo Contract below. The Iris patch is dedicated in memory of our grandmother NaDeanne Calhoun, an Irisarian and avid gardener (she had the greenest thumb around!).

Calhoun Flower Farms Photo ContractBy purchasing you agree to the following Photo Session Terms and Agreements. Purchaser is referred to as THE CLIENT.Calhoun Flower Farms reserves the right to cancel this contract if at any time it feels that the obligations cannot be met. In the event of fire, natural disaster, tragedy and/or conditions beyond its control, liability is limited to a partial to refund of all monies paid. TERMS: Payment is NON-REFUNDABLE. We will happily reschedule your photo session for inclement weather. A $35 fee will be charged if THE CLIENT goes over their reserved photo session end time; a $35 fee will also be charged if THE CLIENT enters the field prior to the reservation. When you arrive at the farm, please stay in your vehicle until your photo session time begins. Once your photo session window of time ends, please exit the field and return to your vehicle.PHOTO RELEASE: It is understood that by having a photo session on our farm, a minimum of 3 to 5 high-resolution photos must be shared by THE CLIENT (or PHOTOGRAPHER) within 30 days of your photo session. By purchasing THE CLIENT or PHOTOGRAPHER agrees to provide at least 3 to 5 edited photos from your session. CANCELLATIONS: Payment is NON-REFUNDABLE. We will happily reschedule your photo session for inclement weather.DISCLOSURES: Calhoun Flower Farms cannot be held responsible for flowers in extreme environmental conditions, like heat over 100 degrees F or freezing temperatures. THE CLIENT understands this is a working farm. Road and walkways are unpaved. There is dirt and insects, including mosquitoes. EXCLUSIVITY: No outside flowers (including artificial flowers) are permitted.This agreement contains the entire understanding between “Calhoun Flower Farms” and THE CLIENT. It supersedes all prior and simultaneous agreements between the parties.
