The Thomas R. Brown Foundation seeks to advance the use of economic principles in public and private decision making through strategic partnerships and educational programs. Our program goal is to equip teachers to increase student exposure to fundamental principles of economics in a neutral and nonpartisan way, and to help students develop an appreciation of how economic analysis applies to everyday choices as well as business and policy issues.

<p>It’s reasonable for students to ask, “Why do I need to know this?” Open your students’ eyes to the relevance of economics by teaching key concepts using current events. The fourth installment in the series will focus on headlines connected to economic development and international trade. Participants will receive a certificate of professional development as well as access to digital resources. Note - each installment in this series can be attended independently of the others.</p>
