ALA 69th Congress - Delegates Only Session

The American Latvian Association (ALA) is the main representative organization for the Latvian American community. Through 100 member organizations, churches, clubs and some 4,000 individual members we represent over 90,000 people of Latvian descent living in the United States. We are a non-profit, tax-exempt educational and cultural organization.

During the "delegates only" session, delegates will vote on the budget, new board, bylaw revisions, and resolutions for the new year.

ALA kongress ir vairāk nekā 100 ASV latviešu sabiedrības aktīvāko pārstāvju gadskārtējā tikšanās, un tajā tiek lemts par ALA darbības virzieniem nākamajam gadam.Kongresa programma, kas ilgs no 2020. gada 23. oktobra plkst. 11.00 pēc ASV austrumkrasta laika – 24. oktobra pēcpusdienai, ietvers ASV latviešu organizāciju pārstāvju tikšanos un balsošanu par kopīgajām iniciatīvām; darba grupas par izglītības, kultūras un Baltijas valstu drošības jautājumiem (atvērtas publikai); kā arī informatīvas intervijas vai lekcijas plašākai ASV latviešu publikai.Detalizēta programma ir atrodama Amerikas Latviešu apvienības mājaslapā : http://www.alausa.org.Šajā posmā, kas domāts tikai kongresa delegātiem, delegāti balsos par budžetu, jauno valdi, statūtu maiņām, un jaunā darbības gada rezolūcijām. Visi citi kongresa pasākumi būs atvērti publikai un pieejami Facebookā vai Zoom.* * *The ALA Congress is an annual meeting of more than 100 U.S. Latvian community leaders and partners, where participants share their knowledge and experience and make joint decisions about the future of their respective organizations.The Congress program will take place from October 23rd 11AM ET - the afternoon of the 24th and will include ALA member organization delegates&#x27; voting on joint initiatives, working groups in the fields of education, culture, and political advocacy (open to all community organizers), as well as informative interviews or lectures that may also be of interest to Latvians in the U.S. who are not members of ALA!A detailed program is available on the ALA website: http://www.alausa.org. During the &quot;delegates only&quot; session, the AL A Congress delegates will vote on the budget, new board, bylaw revisions, and resolutions for the new year. All other sessions will be open to the public and accessible to everyone on Facebook or Zoom.
