The Utah AITC SEEd workshops are developed for K-5 teachers interested in exploring strands of the Utah SEEd standards. These virtual workshops include hands-on activities and online learning experiences that can be used to engage students in the study of living organisms, the effects of traits on survival, organisms functioning in their environment, and the cycling of matter. The first 36 registrants for each workshop will receive science-based curriculum materials and Utah AITC SWAG. Workshop attendees will receive 3 USBE relicensure hours. There is no cost to attend the workshop.
Through the study of organisms, inferences can be made about environments both past and present. Plants and animals have both internal and external structures that serve various functions for growth, survival, behavior, and reproduction.
