Later, she completed lengthy meditation retreats, including the traditional three-year three-month group retreat in California under the guidance of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche. Her main mentors have been Lama Tharchin Rinpoche, Lama Pema Dorje Rinpoche, and Adzom Paylo Rinpoche. Lama Pema Dorje Rinpoche officially authorized her to teach in 2017. In 2020, Ngakpa Karma Lhundup Rinpoche asked her to teach Vajrayana gradually, starting with the Heart Essence of Dakini, a treasure of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche, later Throma Nakmo, and always Guru Rinpoche.Donation-based event ($10 or more suggested donation) "I am a Dharma teacher in a Tibetan tradition who lives in the Sierra foothills. I have a new book out and I feel like sharing what I learned in the process of writing it that might be relevant to dharma practitioners in general in person. Little talks, and the interactions with flesh and blood people that go along with them, make me happy."We've asked her to introduce her tradition and practice, possibly lead a short meditation and discuss the practices in her new book "Clearing the Way to Awakening: A Nine-Step Practice from Tibetan Buddhism" This is a donation-based event. Our non-profit center has no paid staff and donations of support can be made here or on the day of the event to the center or directly to our speaker (who is driving 3 hours each way). Your donations will enable us to continue to offer events such as this in the Chico area. Chair seating and floor seating is available. There may be a short 5-10 minute meditation period, participation is optional. The center is hidden behind a wall of tall brush at the end of the court--please drive slowly and park in the street.
