Designers serve a critical role as communicators, educators and innovators. Founded in 1914, AIGA is the oldest and largest professional membership organization for design. AIGA’s mission is to advance design as a professional craft, strategic tool, and vital cultural force.AIGA supports design professionals, educators and students throughout their careers. AIGA represents a variety of professions under the umbrella of communication design, ranging from book and type design to interactive and user experience design.Northwest Arkansas is a proven hub for creative work, and has had an AIGA chapter since 2017. The board is made up of representatives from Northwest Arkansas companies, agencies and educational institutions.

Are you an undergraduate design student or an emerging designer looking to overcome a COVID related job loss? Don&#x27;t miss this opportunity to have your portfolio reviewed by experienced creative professionals. We won’t be meeting in person, but we will still provide you with professional feedback on your work to help you get to the next step of your design career and.We are excited to have reviewers representing a variety of backgrounds and disciplines. Sign up to be a reviewer.<h2>How it Works</h2>Keeping everybody&#x27;s health, safety and flexibility in mind, we&#x27;re hosting this year&#x27;s Under View virtually, beginning Thur. Nov. 12, 2020 and concluding Sat. Nov. 14.<h3>Step 1 - Register</h3>Fill out the registration form<h3>Step 2 - Match</h3>We will match you with a creative pro. Together, you will determine the best time to meet during the three-day window and which videoconferencing platform is best for both of you (e.g. Zoom, Slack App, Google Meet, Messenger Rooms, Facetime, any platform that allows the student to share their screen).<h3>Step 3-Review</h3>Log on for your virtual portfolio review at the agreed upon time. We recommend budgeting at least 20-30 minutes per review.<h3>Deadline</h3>All participants (students, emerging designers and reviewers) must register by November 1, 2020 at 11:59PM. This allows time for matching and for the professionals to reach out about the details for your review.Fine PrintParticipants are encouraged to read and adhere to our <a href="https://nwa.aiga.org/events/code-of-conduct/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">code of conduct</a>.
