Is there an age restriction for this event?

Yes, this is a 21+ event. A valid, physical, government-issued photo ID is required for entry (e.g. driver's license, passport, or military ID). Guests under 21 will be denied entry, and no refunds will be issued. Digital IDs are not accepted.

How do I access the event?

Accepted Answer

Your Eventbrite ticket name must match your physical ID. Each ticket and table buyer must provide their full name and full names of any guests. Willis Tower Building Security will need a valid, physical, government-issued photo ID in order to give you a Building Access Badge to get to event floors.

What is the Willis Tower Building Security Procedure?

Enter Willis Tower via the Franklin Street entrance. Guests will check in with Willis Tower Building Security to get a badge to go to the 66th Floor where the event registration will occur. All guests will be required to go through metal detector screening.

Can I change the name on my ticket or transfer it?

Tickets are non-transferable, all sales are final, and guest names cannot be changed after purchase. For urgent matters, please email us for assistance.

What time can I register for the event and enter?

Accepted Answer

Registration will start at 7:30PM for VIP and VIP Table Guests and 8:30 PM for General Admission Guests. Registration will conclude at 11:55 PM (no refunds if you are late).

Can I exit the event after I enter or go in and out of the event?

Once you exit the event, re-entry is not permitted, even for brief exits (e.g., smoke breaks).

Can we register for other guests in our party and pick up their wristbands?

Accepted Answer

No, wristbands cannot be picked up on behalf of others even if you are the ticket buyer for all tickets. Each attendee must be physically present with their ID and have their own e-ticket. Every guest is required to go through Willis Tower Building Security and event registration individually.

How many people can be at a reserved VIP Table?

The capacity is strictly limited by the package you purchased (e.g. VIP Table for 4 is strictly for 4 people only).

Yes, you can upgrade your ticket as long as it is still available. For instructions and availability, please email us.

What is the dress code for the evening?

The dress code is "dress to impress" or upscale/semi-formal attire. Jeans, athletic wear, sneakers, and casual clothing are not permitted. We recommend men in suits and women in cocktail dresses. Overall, we just want people to look nice.

Is there a coat check available?

Yes, a coat check will be available. There will be a minimum fee, typically around $5 per item.

Will there be available seating for us?

General Admission tickets are standing room only. VIP Tickets include access to shared seating area ideal for brief breaks. Table Packages include reserved seating for the entire night.

Where do I find discounted hotels near the venue?

Please visit the hotel tab of the website: https://www.chicagonye.com. We recommend booking your hotel as soon as possible. Hotel room rates will increase as we near the event.

Is there on-site parking available?

No, there is no on-site parking. There are public parking lots near the venue. We highly recommend using public transportation or ride-sharing services (Uber/Lyft) as street closures are common on NYE. Please note that parking is not included in your event ticket.

Can we go to smoke after entering the event?

Unfortunately, re-entry is strictly prohibited, even for brief departures such as smoke breaks. There are no in and outs allowed.
