Monarch Meadows Nature Preserve

Bernie Kasper knows how to photograph butterflies - and he wants to share what he's learned with you. Join Bernie at his favorite Oak Heritage preserve, Monarch Meadows, at the height of the monarch migration. He'll dig into the details of how to capture the perfect of butterflies. Check out Bernie's photography at https://sindianavisions.wordpress.com/author/berniekasper/Note: This is an advanced class for amateur photographers who already know how to use their cameras. This is *not* an intro course for folks using their phones or point and shoot cameras. (But regardless of how you take photos, you're welcome to submit a photo to our 5th annual Nature & Farm Photo Contest. Details at https://oakheritageconservancy.org/get-involved/photoexhibit/) This is a socially distanced event. Masks will be required during sign-in, and any time social distancing cannot be maintained. However, we are designing the event to be spread out, and limiting registration to 6 participants, so social distancing should be quite manageable. Thank you for helping keep everyone healthy! This event is part of our fall events series. Check out our events raising funds for conservation (like Outdoor Yoga, Intro to Nature Journaling, etc.) as well as our free events for families. Details at www.oakheritageconservancy.org/events/We cannot host our Annual Dinner (our main annual fundraiser) like normal this year, so this event series is helping to fill the fundraising gap! Bernie is donating his time and expertise, so the funds we raise from this workshop go directly to protecting nature in southeast Indiana. This event happens rain or shine. No refunds on ticket sales. Our event series is possible because of support from Oak Heritage Conservancy members, as well as our sponsors, including Ameriprise Financial Services Greensburg, Bear Forestry, and Friendship State Bank.Photographs by Bernie Kasper.
