Kid Pan Alley’s mission is to inspire and empower children to work together to become creators of their own music and to rekindle creativity as a core value in education through the group songwriting process. To date, we've written over 2,700 songs with over 65,000 children across the country from Virginia to Hawaii. The songs are a sophisticated and powerful world-view as seen through the eyes of the children.  Our songs have been recorded by artists including Amy Grant, Sissy Spacek, Delbert McClinton, Cracker, Kix Brooks, Nashville Chamber Orchestra, Corey Harris, Suzy Bogguss and many others. We’ve won numerous awards including Parents’ Choice Gold Awards, a WAMMIE, and have received a Grammy nomination for one of our recordings.

Kid Pan Alley is featuring a special concert for kids on Sunday, October 4th at 4pm (EDT) in celebration of their latest album, Best Friends. The concert features four of the artists from the album who also happen to be some of the most beloved kids artists in the country—Bill Harley, Randy Kaplan, Silly Bus, and Kid Pan Alley’s Paul Reisler and Cheryl Toth.Bill Harley is a storyteller, songwriter, author and playwright best known for his work with children and families. Considered by fans and peers alike to be one of the best storytellers in the country, his work is a celebration of commonality and humanity, delivered through comic narrative songs and confessional spoken pieces. A prolific recording artist, Bill has produced thirty-five award-winning recordings, garnering two Grammy awards, numerous Parents’ Choice awards, and recognition from the American Library Association and The National Parenting Association. Entertainment Weekly describes Harley as “the Mark Twain of contemporary kids’ music”, Publishers Weekly says, “Harley’s witty ebullient performance will have listeners laughing out loud”, and The Washington Post describes Harley as “…a champion yarn-spinner and tunesmith with a sense of wonder, whimsy and mischief…”“Randy Kaplan is one of those happy-they-exist people you can't quite tell is playing kids’ music. And yet he is,” according to New York Magazine. His blend of American Roots Music and Comedic Storytelling has inspired the likes of NPR, The Nashville Blues Society, and People magazine to name Randy one of the nation’s top family entertainers. In his songs for children and their families, Kaplan blends american roots, pop, punk, jazz, hip-hop, and comedic storytelling. He fingerpicks his way through unpredictable, live shows, which in addition to his original compositions include Broadway numbers, delta Blues songs, ragtime tunes, and even his grandfather's songs from the 1920s. “He doesn’t dumb it down for the kids. . . . He just expects them to come along for the ride. And they do,” said Time Out New York Kids). Silly Bus inspires children of all ages to listen, laugh, and learn. Performing their Mom's Choice Award winning fun, poppy originals with fresh takes on "classic" children's songs, Silly Bus celebrates the past while creating new memories for the entire family. With over 7 million YouTube views and music on Sirius XM, the Today Show, and national ad campaigns, Silly Bus enjoys entertaining families worldwide.Paul Reisler, the Founder and Artistic Director of Kid Pan Alley, has written more songs than the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and Stephen Foster combined—somewhere north of 3,000 compositions thanks in no small part to his army of 65,000 short collaborators as well a handful of Grammy-winning co-writers. Artists including Sissy Spacek, Raul Malo, Darrell Scott, Cracker, Corey Harris, Jesse Winchester and many others have recorded his songs. Kid Pan Alley’s 5 albums have received numerous awards including Parents’ Choice Gold Awards, a Wammie, and a Grammy nomination.Over the last 6 months, Kid Pan Alley has moved all of their programs to the virtual world.
