Snacks and bike safety checks before a really cool route along Penitencia Creek Trail!

Berryessa BART Parking Lot

SVBC is thrilled to host four group bike rides along the Penitencia Creek Trail in East San José!These rides are designed to be supportive and comfortable for beginner riders who may be newer to riding bikes on the road. Our trained ride support are here to help everyone have a great time!Meet up for free snacks at the Berryessa BART native plant garden before our group pedals for an hour or two along the Penitencia Creek Trail. <a href="https://ridewithgps.com/routes/40008378" title="https://ridewithgps.com/routes/40008378" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">You can see our route here!</a> <h3>The ride experience is:</h3> <ul><li>Absolutely nobody left behind</li></ul> <ul><li>Frequent stops to rest and regroup</li></ul> <ul><li>Plenty of snacks to keep our bellies happy</li></ul> <ul><li>Bike safety and helmet checks before we leave</li></ul> <h3>Agenda for the day:</h3>12:30 - Ride leaders and ride support arrive1:00-1:30 - Thorough bike safety checks - learn the ABC (Air, Brakes, Chain) of making sure your bike is ready to ride!1:30-2:00 - mingle and get ready to ride2:00 - roll outBetween 4:00-5:00 - back at BART <h3>Free Giveaways from SVBC:</h3> <ul><li>Free water bottles while supplies last</li></ul> <ul><li>Stickers</li></ul> <ul><li>Safety vests</li></ul> <h3>Please bring with you:</h3> <ul><li>A working bicycle</li></ul> <ul><li>A helmet</li></ul> <ul><li>A water bottle</li></ul> <ul><li>Clothing fit for the weather</li></ul> <ul><li>Flat repair if you have it</li></ul> We're so thankful to our program partners at Valley Water for sponsoring this event.
