<h3>Kristi Martin, MPA</h3><h4>Director of Health Care at <strong><strong>Camber Collective</strong></strong></h4><h4>Former Senior Advisor at <strong><strong>Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)</strong></strong></h4><p><br></p><p>Kristi Martin provides strategic counsel to advance meaningful, practical policy solutions. Currently as a Director at Camber Collective, she draws on more than 20 years of experience working in the public sector, with private sector clients, and in philanthropy to drive critical thinking on important health care issues and supports a wide range of clients in executing their strategic plans for change. Kristi served as the chief of staff to the Director for the Center for Medicare at the Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services (CMS) where she played a significant role in advancing regulatory policy in Medicare and implementing the Inflation Reduction Act. Most notably, Kristi facilitated and coordinated the implementation of the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program as well as steered a wide range of other policy and operational initiatives that shaped a more modern Medicare.</p><p>Prior to CMS, Kristi was the Vice President for Health Care at Arnold Ventures and was the Managing Director of Waxman Strategies' health practice where she worked alongside Congressman Henry Waxman. She has previously served several years across government, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services where she served in the Office of Health Reform, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management leading policy for Affordable Care Act initiatives, and the health care team at the U.S. Government Accountability Office.</p><p>She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in health communication from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Public Administration from George Washington University.</p>

<h3>Shuvayu Sen, PhD</h3><h4>Vice President and Head of Oncology, Center of Observational &amp; Real World Evidence at <strong><strong>Merck</strong></strong></h4><p><br></p><p>Shuvayu S Sen, PhD is the Vice President and Head of Oncology, Value and Implementation Outcomes Research, at Merck Research Laboratories. His organization lead the development and execution of value evidence generation plan for demonstrating the value proposition of Merck cancer therapies to various stakeholders and decision makers. Prior to his current role, Dr. Sen led the Global Value and Real-World Evidence function at Otsuka Pharmaceuticals for two and half years where he led a group of health economists, outcomes researchers, and epidemiologists for developing and conducting research programs that assess clinical, economic and humanistic values of drugs or other health care interventions in development or commercialized by Otsuka. Before spending time at Otsuka, Shuvayu was with Merck &amp; Co, Inc. for about 20 years. During that time, Shuvayu held leadership roles in market access, outcomes research, and evidence generation for multiple therapeutic areas including leading access and outcomes research teams for primary and specialty care, hospital care and Merck Vaccines. Prior to joining Merck in 2001, Shuvayu received his M.S. and Ph.D. from Purdue University focusing on Health Economics and Outcomes Research.</p><p>Shuvayu has authored/co-authored more than 200 articles and abstracts and won awards for his scientific work. He has led many successful submissions to and consultations with different Health Technology Assessment/reimbursement bodies around the world and partnered with academic groups for research collaborations. He has led several multi-organizational partnerships (e.g. Merck-Syapse Collaboration, Otsuka-Holmusk partnership for real world evidence). He serves as a reviewer for many international journals as well as on editorial boards. Shuvayu is also currently an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University and invited member of the Advisory Boards of Schools of Pharmacy, Rutgers University and University of Washington, Seattle.</p><p>Shuvayu is a soccer, and literature enthusiast and a tea lover. In his spare time, he likes to read on these topics while sipping Darjeeling tea.</p>

<h3>Sam Wollner, MBA '14</h3><h4>Vice President, Strategy &amp; Partnerships at <strong><strong>EmblemHealth</strong></strong></h4><h4><br></h4><p>Sam Wollner leads strategic planning, strategy implementation, and partnerships at EmblemHealth, a health and wellness company that provides insurance plans, primary and specialty care, and wellness solutions to over two million people in the New York tristate area. Sam joined EmblemHealth with diverse experience helping healthcare organizations partner and scale to succeed in new business models. Previously, Sam led strategic partnerships and growth as Vice President of Business Development at Lumeris, a value-based care operating partnering to health systems and health plans. Prior to Lumeris, Sam served as a Director at Remedy Partners (now Signify Health) where he led operational and financial analytics for Remedy’s large hospitalist physician group partners in the Medicare bundled payment program. Prior to Remedy, Sam helped build the value-based care practice at Deloitte Strategy &amp; Operations Consulting. He has also worked for leading academic medical centers in a variety of roles including clinical research, policy analysis, and corporate strategy. Sam received his A.B. from Harvard College and his M.B.A from Columbia Business School.</p>

<h3>(Moderator) Xuelin Li, PhD</h3><h4>Assistant Professor of Finance at <strong><strong>Columbia Business School</strong></strong></h4><h4><br></h4><p>Professor Xuelin Li is the Assistant Professor of Finance at Columbia Business School, teaching the courses Capital Markets and Investments, and Financing Innovation in Healthcare. His research bridges the studies on finance and healthcare, which are two crucial academic fields in the broad economic literature. His research interest focuses on the financing of U.S. hospital industries and innovation investments in the healthcare industry.</p>
