A workshop to help parents with grown children who are struggling to move forward and gain their independence.

What do you do when your grown son or daughter seems stuck in making a successful transition to adulthood? As a parent, it might feel as though you&#x27;re standing by helplessly while your child struggles - as if nothing you do, or try to not do, seems to work. At CEBTOhio, we&#x27;ve helped many families in similar situations, and we&#x27;re eager to share an overview of interventions that have helped bring change. Please join us for a 4-hour introductory workshop designed to set the stage for long-term change in young adults.This workshop is designed to help you understand the roadblocks to adult tasks, share ways to communicate with your adult child more effectively, and teach parents how to recognize and address any needed changes at home. Topics to be addressed include:<ol><li>The science behind mis-matched temperaments with young adults and their families.</li><li>Keeping temperament differences in mind, ways to adjust how families communicate.</li><li>Spotting and addressing obstacles to meaningful behavioral change.</li><li> Identifying what needs to be in place at home to make sure behavior changes will last.</li></ol>This workshop will provide concrete interventions to take home and practice! Please register early, as seats are limited.This offering is designed for anyone struggling with these topics, and no therapist referral is required.
