Virtual Preview Day: October 24, 2020

The Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky is a residential program for bright, highly motivated Kentucky high school students who have demonstrated interest in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.Housed on the campus of Western Kentucky University, The Gatton Academy also seeks to provide its students with the companionship of peers; to encourage students to develop the creativity, curiosity, reasoning ability, and self-discipline that lead to independent thought and action; and to aid students in developing integrity that will enable them to benefit society.Our goal is to enable Kentucky’s exceptional young scientists and mathematicians to learn in an environment which offers advanced educational opportunities, preparing them for leadership roles in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Virtual Preview Days will be conducted via Zoom and all are welcome. Our On Campus Preview Days must be limited to current sophomores.

The Gatton Academy will host our second Virtual Preview Day of the fall semester for the Class of 2023 on Saturday, October 24, 2020, from 10 AM to 11:45 AM (Central Time).  This is a wonderful opportunity for prospective applicants and their families to hear from staff members, as well as current Gatton students and their parents to gain a better understanding of student life at the Gatton Academy.The schedule will mirror our On Campus Preview Days with the exception of a tour. Current sophomores are encouraged to attend On Campus Preview Days to get a feel for the WKU campus. The deadline to RSVP for this Virtual Preview Day is October 22, 2020.
