Kid Pan Alley’s mission is to inspire and empower children to work together to become creators of their own music and to rekindle creativity as a core value in education through the group songwriting process. To date, we've written over 2,700 songs with over 65,000 children across the country from Virginia to Hawaii. The songs are a sophisticated and powerful world-view as seen through the eyes of the children.  Our songs have been recorded by artists including Amy Grant, Sissy Spacek, Delbert McClinton, Cracker, Kix Brooks, Nashville Chamber Orchestra, Corey Harris, Suzy Bogguss and many others. We’ve won numerous awards including Parents’ Choice Gold Awards, a WAMMIE, and have received a Grammy nomination for one of our recordings.

It’s singer/songwriter night at Because We Have Music, Kid Pan Alley’s livestream concert series. On Sunday, September 27th at 7pm (EDT) the featured performers are Steve Seskin who has penned hits for everyone from Tim McGraw to Peter, Paul and Mary, songstress Lyn Koonce, and Kid Pan Alley hosts Paul Reisler and Cheryl Toth.Steve Seskin has had a boatload of songs recorded by Tim McGraw, Neal McCoy, John Michael Montgomery, Kenny Chesney, Collin Raye, Peter Frampton, Waylon Jennings, Alabama, Mark Wills, and Peter Paul and Mary. His song &quot;Don&#x27;t Laugh At Me&quot; was a finalist for CMA &quot;Song of the Year&quot; in 1999, and has spurred an entire tolerance movement, launched by the Don&#x27;t Laugh at Me Project. Other Seskin hits include: &quot;I Think About You,&quot; &quot;Life&#x27;s A Dance,&quot; &quot;No Doubt About It,&quot; &quot;If You&#x27;ve Got Love&quot; and &quot;Grown Men Don&#x27;t Cry.&quot;He’s also an electrifying performer. &quot;His voice has a natural lilt that can&#x27;t be learned,&quot; writes Joel Selvin in the SF Chronicle. Singer/songwriter/instrumentalist Lyn Koonce mixes the sounds of alt-country and pop, with a hint of blues, to make a music that is both powerful and comforting. She was a recent winner of American Songwriter Magazine Lyric Contest. Her first three albums capture snapshots from the decades of life, music and stories that have led her here—to a fourth album that’s equal parts old soul and new beginnings. Throughout her music career, performing from Georgia to California, her songs have reached new communities as she’s shared the stage with the Indigo Girls, Amy Speace and other well-known musicians.Paul Reisler is the founder of Kid Pan Alley as well as Trapezoid, Paul Reisler &amp; A Thousand Questions featuring Howard Levy, and Three Good Reasons. His discovery that kids make the best song co-writers led to the founding of the <a href="http://www.KidPanAlley.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Kid Pan Alley</a>.
