In Southeast Asia, love is rarely spoken outright—it lingers in the steam of a hot meal, in a quiet “Text me when you get home.” It’s in a mother’s knowing glance, a friend’s steady presence, a grandparent’s whispered: “Take this, just in case.” It’s in the careful slicing of fruit, wordlessly placed in front of you, even after a day of disagreement.<a href="https://suarachoir.org" title="https://suarachoir.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Suara</a>’s Love, Southeast Asia brings these affections to life through seven songs. From romantic longing to the warmth of family, from spiritual devotion to the hopes of immigrants who have made this region their home, these seven choral works paint love in all its forms—without ever needing to be said.To make the evening even more special, an exhibition at the back of the concert hall starting 40 minutes before the concert will feature papercraft and batik products from Southeast Asia, alongside exhibition tables from Suara’s community partner organizations, including the UCLA Association of Indonesian Americans.🗓️ Date: Monday, March 10, 2025 🕰️ Time: 8:00 PM 📍 Location: 743 S Lucerne Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90005 🅿️ Free parking available at the EbellTickets available on Eventbrite: $10 Don’t miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich choral traditions of Southeast Asia. Agenda

Doors will open 40 minutes before the concert. We encourage audiences to purchase tickets online ahead of time, but tickets will also be available for purchase at the ticket desk in the Ebell Lounge. Arrive early to grab the best seat—it's first come, first served! Be sure to check out our vibrant merch tables featuring Suara's first-ever t-shirt, handmade batik clothing, traditional games, and beautiful paper crafts from Malaysia and Indonesia.
