Welcome to the Texas Violence &amp; Injury Prevention Showcase! Join us for a day filled with innovative research presentations and discussions on preventing violence and injuries in Texas. This in-person event will bring together experts and professionals in the field to share their latest findings and strategies. Don't miss this opportunity to network, learn, and contribute to the advancement of violence and injury prevention efforts in our state.

The Texas Showcase is presented in partnership between the Violence and Injury Prevention Research Center (VIPR) and Safe States Alliance.Funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, VIPR is the only Injury Control Research Center in Texas and the first of its kind in the southwest. It is housed at UTHealth Houston and is in partnership with Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital.Safe States Alliance is the only national non-profit organization and professional association comprised of public health injury and violence prevention professionals representing all 50 U.S. states.The Showcase will also highlight injury and violence prevention efforts at hospitals, trauma centers, and other organizations across the state.A limited number of parking vouchers for the 1836 parking garage are available for the event.
