Cleveland Rocks: PPF’s Professional Development Workshops are held on the third Monday of the month from 7-9pm at the Cleveland Rocks Shop (15801 Waterloo Rd.). Each workshop will focus on a different music-related topic with discussions from 7-8pm, followed by a 2×4 Songwriter Showcase from 8-9pm featuring 4 different artists, 2 songs each. <h3>Workshop: Getting The Gig</h3>Guest Speaker: Brent KirbyStay for The 2×4 Songwriter Showcase immediately following the workshop.Free Event! <h3>2x4 Songwriter Showcase Artists</h3><ul><li>Andrea Nicole King</li><li>Rick Szekelyi</li><li>Glass Aeros</li><li>Fragments of Speech</li></ul>Andrea Nicole KingAndrea Nicole King is a singer-songwriter rooted in the heartlands of Northeast Ohio. Known for her raw storytelling and emotional depth, she crafts deeply personal songs that navigate love, loss, and healing. Her latest album, Harvest Love, was written in just three days and recorded over six months — a project brought to life through live instrumentation and unfiltered emotion. With a background in music production and over 20 years as a pianist, Andrea creates rich, immersive soundscapes that resonate on a soul-deep level.Rick SzekelyiRick Szekelyi has been playing guitar since he was eight years old. After six decades, he decided to get serious about songwriting. Influenced by Townes Van Zandt, Kris Kristofferson, John Steinbeck, , Ernest Hemingway, Guy Clark and Steve Earle, his writing is story-based and captures sounds from days gone by, different lands and cultural. His first CD, Porch Songs, was released in 2020, followed by his second release, Sunrise in 2022. He is currently working on his third release, Third Table, which will be released later this year. In addition to his solo projects he performs as Bridgetown Junction with Amanda Walsh. Bridgetown Junction has released four CD’s, Troubadour, Right Side of the Bridge, a children’s album When We Were Kids and Look into the Light.Fragments of SpeechFragments of Speech: Original Acoustic Rock from Cleveland, Ohio Acoustic guitar duo Jim Madigan and Dave Sierk believe thoughtful songs can be brief, upbeat, and melodic. Their layered approach offers spirited musical exchanges in a simple format. Survivors of longtime electric/acoustic project Figure of Speech, Jim and Dave’s partnership stretches over four decades. After a prolonged hiatus from the local scene, they are reintroducing themselves with new songs and a current vision.Glass AerosJudy “June” De Angelis is the vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter of Glass Aeros, a Cleveland-based band blending rock, goth, and alternative influences. Drawing inspiration from The Smashing Pumpkins and The Cure, as well as the aesthetics of Surrealism, Bauhaus, and Art Deco, she channels past traumas into raw, evocative music.A classically trained violist turned self-taught guitarist, she joined forces with Jessica Jane and Tom Nagle to bring Glass Aeros to life. The band is currently working on their debut full-length album while performing throughout Northeast Ohio.The Cleveland Rocks Shop is an intimate venue with LIMITED capacity.
