Welcome to the AD German Warehouse designed by Frank Lloyd Wright! Join us for an exclusive in-person Tour at the AD German Warehouse. Explore the iconic architecture of this historic warehouse and learn about the story behind this unfinished masterpiece. Frequently asked questions

Is the building handicap accessible?

Only the first floor of the building is wheelchair accessible. The rest of the tour and visitor center are not itself wheelchair accessible. The tour does include stairs and no elevators available in either building.

What should I wear?

Due to uneven floors and lack of heat, it is recommended to wear appropriate walking shoes and clothes.

Do you offer private tours?

Yes, we do offer private and bus tours. These types of private tours are recommended to be scheduled at least 2 weeks prior to your visit. This timeframe ensures, we can accommodate your request to be scheduled with one of our volunteer docents. Send request to adgermanwarehouse@gmail.com.

Can I walk around the building without a tour?

People are only allow to walk on the two public streets that are part of the building. People are not allowed to venture off the public street to see the rest of the building as it is private property. The property is a private construction site and should be treated as such.

Are there bathrooms for use?

Bathroom are only located in The 1912 Visitor Center. Participants should use the bathrooms before or after the tour.

Where can I park?

There is parking available on the surrounding streets.

What are your gift shop hours?

Our gift shop is only open during tours.
