Public Webinar:  1-Bromopropane Risk Evaluation and Risk Management under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA)

If you require special accommodations or have questions, please contact: Kramek.niva@epa.gov On Wednesday, September 30, EPA’s Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics will hold a public webinar on risk management for 1-bromopropane. After issuance of the final risk evaluation, EPA is required under TSCA to take action to manage the unreasonable risks identified in the final risk evaluation for 1-bromopropane. This webinar will provide an overview of the unreasonable risk findings in final risk evaluation for 1-bromopropane. Agency staff will provide an overview of the risk management requirements under TSCA, the statutory timelines, and the tools available to EPA to manage identified unreasonable risks. The agency will also outline ongoing efforts to execute a variety of measures to greatly increase transparency and engagement to obtain feedback that will be used to inform the rulemaking process. The webinar also provides the opportunity for the public to provide input on considerations the agency should take into account for managing these unreasonable risks, including any specific comments on managing the unreasonable risks of 1-bromopropane. If you would like to provide oral comments during the webinar, you must register by Friday, September 25. Select “attend and make a comment” when registering. You may register as a listen only attendee at any time up to the end of the meeting. For listen-only attendees, select “listen-only” when registering.
