Leadership Lunch & Learn: Prioritizing Use of Your Precious Time

It is the mission of The Space on Main to foster entrepreneurship, innovation, the arts, education, health, and recreation in order to increase opportunity for personal and collective growth in the Cohase Region of Vermont and New Hampshire by providing a creative facility with access to affordable equipment, work spaces, and classes. It is our goal to ensure prosperity of our community by leveraging talent in the region by creating pathways to outside individuals, services, and technologies.

This workshop will provide skills to help you better manage your limited and precious time.

<p>Are you spending the work day focused on your priorities or mostly responding to other people’s needs? At the end of the day, do you have a sense of accomplishment or does it feel more like a treadmill? Do you get caught up in seemingly urgent activities that aren’t always that important?  Do you wish you had more time to spend on planning, clarifying priorities, building positive relationships, imagining future possibilities, and seeking new opportunities? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this workshop will provide skills to help you better manage your limited and precious time, incorporating the urgent/important matrix, and embracing author Stephen Covey’s advice to “Put first things first.” Participants will be provided with a personal worksheet for self-assessment, individualized goal setting, and action planning to grow their leadership skills.</p><p>Presenter Douglass Teschner, Ed.D., founded Growing Leadership LLC to partner with business, nonprofits, and government to unlock leadership potential and inspire people and organizations to thrive and grow.  He has a depth of US and international experience, including serving as a NH state representative and Peace Corps country director in Ukraine and West Africa, and authors a leadership column in the New Hampshire Business Review.
