Lost City is a mission-driven, community oasis with locations at the River North Taxi campus and Capitol Hill. The name Lost City is meant to capture both a global and local perspective on progress. Lost City is dedicated to creating a better Colorado by supporting the needs of marginalized communities and providing a safe space for opportunities and cultural exchange. Lost City is proud to be a founding member of the Denver Metro Emergency Food Network (www.denverdelivered.com), a joint effort started in March 2020 to respond to food insecurity during the COVID-19 crisis. The Taxi location offers specialty coffee, delicious house-made food, catering, and a full bar. Lost City is excited to present Lost City Live: An Independent Music Recovery Showcase. On Friday, September 18, attendees will enjoy music from Megan Burt with an opening set from Chris Koza. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to local artists. The concert will take place on Lost City’s outdoor patio at its RiNo location (3459 Ringsby Ct.) and will follow all state social distancing guidelines. Event capacity will be capped at 44 guests per show and tables and seating areas will be placed to allow for appropriate distancing between groups. Lost City will also take additional cleaning and sanitizing measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.Ticketing options take social distancing into consideration by encouraging small friend circles, couples and family members to attend together. Tables will be spaced a minimum of six feet apart and ticket options/pricing are as follows: <ul><li>VIP Tables (2 available per show) - $200 per table for the best seats in the house; includes seating for up to 6 guests and a bottle of wine</li><li>2-4 Person Seating (5 available per show) - $100 per table/bench</li><li>2 Person Seating (4 available per show) - $50 per table/bench </li><li>Single Seats (6 available per show) - $25 each (includes seating on a bench, chair or stool; does not guarantee space at a table) </li></ul>The patio will open one hour prior for an attendee-only happy hour. Lost City will provide food and drink options to enjoy during the shows including cocktails, wine, beer, and charcuterie boards. Food and drinks will be served from a walk-up window to minimize contact throughout the venue.Parking is free - please park in the overflow lot on the southwest side of the Taxi complex and avoid parking in any spots marked for residents. Rocky Mountain raised, and international touring artist, <a href="http://meganburtt.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Megan Burtt</a> is a decorated performing songwriter. Since her sophomore release “The Bargain”, she has performed at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater, been featured with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, toured Europe, toured across the US, and supported artist like Gregory Alan Isakov, Chris Isaak, Leann Rimes and Marc Cohn. Guitar World calls band leader, Megan Burtt “Pulsing, powerful and lovely. Burtt gracefully manipulates words and melody into a sultry delight.” Burtt is a Rocky Mountain Folks Fest, Kerrville, and Westword Songwriter of the Year. She is currently working on her fourth and fifth full-length albums One with with New York City with producer Louis Cato (Stephen Colbert house band, Stay Human) and the other on her home turf in Colorado. <a href="https://chriskoza.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Chris Koza</a> is a composer and performer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Both solo and with his band Rogue Valley, he has supported and shared the stage with artists such as Brandi Carlile, Ingrid Michaelson, The Jayhawks, Neko Case, Kathleen Edwards, Dan Wilson, Stephen Kellogg, This is the Kit, and Tift Merrit, among others. His music appears regularly on ABC’s General Hospital and 60 Minutes, and his song Be Wild will be featured as the soundtrack to an upcoming State of Minnesota tourism campaign. His song (Rogue Valley) The Wolves and the Ravens was featured in Ben Stiller’s film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. The music Chris produces is rooted in Americana but heeds its own spirit. Born out of folk, country, storytelling and rock ’n roll, Chris both honors and builds on Americana traditions by incorporating a unique pop-music sensibility, subtle synthesizers, rich harmonies, and imaginative production choices. But despite late-night deep dives in the studio, Chris never strays from the core of the song itself and isn’t afraid to let a raw vocal and woodsy acoustic guitar deliver the story. Chris performs solo, as a duo, and with a band of almost any other configuration.
