The Photographic Resource Center (PRC) is a vital forum for the exploration, interpretation, and celebration of new work, ideas, and methods in photography. We inspire our members and the broader community with thought-provoking exhibits, educational programs, wide-ranging resources, and unique special events that support the advancement of the photographic arts. Founded in 1976, the PRC is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that the Boston Globe has cited as “one-stop shopping for the photo buff.” The Photographic Resource Center (PRC) will not, in any circumstances, share your personal information with other individuals or organizations without your permission, including public organizations, corporations or individuals, except when applicable by law. Join us for part two of the PRC 2020/21 Speaker Series, an evening with Annu Palakunnathu Matthew who will speak about and show her work focusing on immigration. Annu Palakunnathu Matthew’s photo-based installation work is a striking blend of still and moving imagery. Her larger work draws on archival photographs as a source of inspiration to re-examine neglected historical narratives. Matthew&#x27;s recent solo exhibitions include the Royal Ontario Museum, Canada, Nuit Blanche Toronto, and sepiaEYE, NYC. Matthew has exhibited her work at the RISD Museum, MFA Boston, MFA Houston, Victoria &amp; Albert Museum, 2018 Kochi-Muziris Biennale, 2018 Fotofest Biennial, as well as at the Smithsonian. Grants and fellowships that have supported her work include a John Guttman, MacColl Johnson, two Fulbright Fellowships and grants from the Rhode Island State Council of the Arts.  In addition, she has been an artist in residence at Center for Photography at Woodstock, Lightwork, MacDowell and Yaddo.
