What is STEM Scouts?<ul><li>STEM Scouts is a pilot program of BSA that focuses teaching character and leadership skills to youth through hands-on STEM explorations that help them build essential skills in collaboration and teamwork, all while having fun.</li></ul>What do volunteers do?<ul><li>Communication team - learn basics of marketing and digital content creation all while working in a fun virtual team environment</li><li>Program team - learn basics of video content creation while having fun exploring STEM designs/experiments and career professional interviews</li><li>Virtual STEM instructor - build your skills of leadership and public speaking while helping to mentor students exploring STEM! </li></ul>Benefits of volunteering with STEM Scouts - <ul><li>Build professional skills relevant to any career: leadership, communication, teamwork, and virtual collaboration using technology</li><li>Remote &amp; Flexible hours; working anywhere from 2-10 hours per week</li><li>Earn service hours &amp; build your resume</li><li>Have FUN working with a cool team of people</li></ul>Requirements for volunteering - <ul><li>Computer and internet access to utilize Slack &amp; Google Drive</li><li>Clean criminal background</li><li>Motivation to make an impact in our community</li><li>Positive attitude</li></ul>
