Workshop details:Give your old and well-worn wooden utensils, cutting &amp; charcuterie boards new life. We&#x27;ll run through the basics of proper wood care &amp; storage, tips for keeping your wood utensils &amp; boards fresh for longer, and common mistakes / misconceptions about cleaning these everyday tools. We’ll go into fine detail about which tools, materials &amp; oils will be most appropriate for you to use, to get any tool in your kitchen looking and feeling almost-new again. Then we&#x27;ll get dirty! Choose a few of your boards &amp; utensils (ranging from extremely well-worn to almost-new), and we&#x27;ll begin the process of refinishing in real time. Learn how to determine which grits to begin and end with, how different woods will receive your finish, what to do with various oil, juice, or other food stains and knife marks. Since refinishing takes multiple coats of oil with hours of dry time in between, we won&#x27;t be bringing any pieces up to final finish during these 90 minutes. By the end of our time together however, you&#x27;ll have practiced the fundamentals of stripping down, gently sanding up through the grits, getting your first re-coating of oil on, and then setting yourself for next coat(s) with a wet sand. Rummage around your kitchen for all the utensils &amp; boards that need some love, and have them gathered nearby. You&#x27;ll want to be wearing clothes that can get messy / dusty, and if there&#x27;s an option to set yourself up outside out of the way (fire escape, roof, empty lot, park, etc) or with window(s) open, it will help minimize dust in your home.More specific questions?
