The Saturday event at the inaugural Drive In-Movie Nights, presented by the Cherokee Nation Film Office, is part of a three-night, family-friendly event focused on Cherokee women in film. Enjoy this free celebration of Cherokee storytelling, language, heritage, culture and traditions told through film projected onto a jumbo screen at One Fire Field in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to be enjoyed from the safety and security of one’s own vehicle. Join us at One Fire Field in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at 8 p.m. The night’s features include the short film “Nanyehi” and “The Cherokee Word for Water.”

Mission:Created in January 2019, Cherokee Nation Film Office’s mission is to increase the presence of Native Americans in every level of the film and television industries, while creating opportunities for economic development and jobs in the Cherokee Nation.About:More content is being consumed than ever before, and entertainment productions are looking for places to film and the crew to make it happen. There is a place for YOU in film, whether it’s in front of the camera, behind the camera, in the boardroom, building sets, handling payroll and accounting, costuming, and more. When film projects come to town, they’ll hire caterers, stay in local hotels, and purchase props, lumber and all things needed to bring their vision to life. Let films know you’d like their business.
