The Art & History Museums of Maitland (A&H) is a premier cultural destination and community gathering place in Central Florida, about 15 minutes from downtown Orlando. A&H is a group of sophisticated attractions that includes a contemporary art museum, 3 interactive history museums, and a stunning campus recognized as Central Florida's only National Historic Landmark. A&H also features a community art school nestled among its beautiful gardens and unique architecture.Founded in 1937 as an artists’ retreat, our space still fulfills this mission today with multiple artist residencies serving both local and international artists. <P>These workshops are a blend of painting and mixed media techniques, exploring a looser style of painting and greater expression. Complete a project in each unique workshop. Workshops are appropriate for all learners.</P>
<P>This is the perfect class for Florida nature painters! The focus of this class will be on creating softness in the sky and movement in the water. Florida is known for it’s beautiful sky’s especially during sunset and sunrise. Learn how to softly blend colors for that perfect gradation. Saturday Painting Workshops are led by local artist and instructor PJ Svejda in Studio 10 at the Maitland Art Center.</P>
