BOLD 2020- Ten Minute Play Fest

BOLD

BOLD 2020 Ten Minute Play Festival featuring six new works written and directed by Black Womxn.

“The restoration of our culture is dependent on the amplification of the black womxn’s voice. We are in desperate need of their stories being creatively shared and grafted into American cannon.” - Destinee Rea (Co-Founder of BOLD)BOLD believes that black womxn will change the world! In this year alone we have seen the ways black womxn are using their voices to inspire, empower, and shift culture. One of our values is contributing creatively to the telling of our stories and this year we are excited to announce the return of our ten minute play fest. This year features new work written by Agyeiwaa Asante, Brittani Samuel, Chanel Carroll, Jazmine Stewart, Kristen Adele Calhoun, Lakhiyia Hicks. Directed by Kristolyn Lloyd, Tavia Jefferson, and Bianca LaVerne Jones. This year’s theme is “BOLD 2020” and we are highlighting black womxn who write with urgency in light of and/or in response to the systemic silencing of black womxn’s voices. Join us and be ready to laugh, cry, and experience BOLD voices. Reserve now and we will send you a link prior to event.
