Do I need to register ahead of time?

While registration is NOT required, it helps us adequately prepare for the event.

Question 2

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Accepted Answer

YES, waivers must be signed by all individuals entering the event space. An accompanying adult must sign a waiver for anyone under 18 years old.

Question 3

Do I need to wear closed toed shoes?

Accepted Answer

Close toed shoes are recommended but not required. Please note that the waiver you sign before entering the event to pick up compost advises that you are participating in this event at your own risk. Close toed shoes will help protect your feet.

Do I need to wear a mask?

Accepted Answer

Masks are optional and will not be required.

Question 5

How much compost can I pick up?

Accepted Answer

There is no limit for how much compost you can pick up. Depending on the amount of interest and residents coming to the event, we reserve the right to limit the amount of compost you can take in one trip and may instruct you to drop your compost off and come back to the event to reload.

Question 6

Will I have to load it myself or will someone be helping me?

Accepted Answer

Participants will be self-loading the compost that they pick up. We will have assistance for anyone requiring ADA accommodations, but please be prepared to self-load anything you plan to take home with you.

Question 7

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Please bring shovels, gloves and either containers or an open bed truck to hold the compost. If bringing an open bed truck, bring a tarp and bungee cords to cover and secure the compost in your vehicle.

Question 8

Is there a vehicle size limit?

Accepted Answer

No, there is no limit for how large of a vehicle you can bring. However, depending on the amount of interest and residents coming to the event, we reserve the right to limit the amount of compost you are taking away to ensure everybody can have some.

Question 9

Do I have to be 18+ to pick up compost?

Accepted Answer

Anyone under 18 should be accompanied by an adult or guardian to ensure your safety.
