Integrative Mental Health for You (IMHU.org) is an online platform offering 33+ presentations on effective alternatives to psychiatric medications to optimize wellbeing. All proceeds from this event, after expenses, will be split between IMHU.org and the outreach efforts of Periscope Foundation to bring Medicating Normal and these important conversations to more communities worldwide.Synopsis:Medicating Normal follows the journeys of a newly married couple, a female combat veteran, a waitress and a teenager whose doctors prescribed psychiatric drugs for stress, depression, sleeplessness, focus and trauma. Our subjects struggle with serious physical and mental side effects as well as neurological damage which resulted from taking the drugs as prescribed and also from attempting to withdraw. Schedule for August 12th:6:30 pm ET: Zoom Livestream virtual screening of Medicating Normal. 76-minute running time.7:45 pm ET: Zoom post-screening community discussion panel (approx 1 hour).Panelists:Dr. Pamela Shervanick is an alternative psychiatrist who helps individuals safely get off of troubling medications and build health and wellness from the inside out.
